The following categories of JAMB UTME candidates are eligible to apply:
a.) Candidates who took the Federal University Otuoke as their first choice and scored 150 and above in the 2018/2019 JAMB UTME examination.
b.) Interested candidates who did not choose Federal University Otuoke as their first choice but wish to study in the University and scored 150 and above in the JAMB UMTE examination. Candidates in this category must do a change of Institution to Federal University Otuoke via JAMB website (www.jamb.org.ng) and chose any of the programmes listed above.

FUOtuoke Supplementary Admission 2016/2017 Out

The management of Federal University Otuoke (FUOTUOKE) invites JAMB UTME candidates wishing to study in the Federal University Otuoke and who could not take part in the 2016/2017 Admission Screening Exercise earlier are hereby invited to apply for Supplementary 2016/2017 Admission Screening.

The University also invites interested JAMB UTME candidates who could not upload their results earlier to upload their results and to take part in the Supplementary 2016/2017 Admission Screening Exercise.

The University portal will be open for applications for the Supplementary 2016/2017 Admission Screening applications from Tuesday 25th October to Friday, 28th October 2016.

FUOtuoke Admission Screening Date For 2016/2017 In Progress

The Federal University Otuoke (FUOTUOKE) 2016/2017 Admission Screening Exercise will commence on Thursday September 1st, 2016.

Candidates will be screened in batches.

Candidates who applied for the exercise are hereby advised to be on the lookout for their batches.

FUOTUOKE 2017/18 School Fees Payment Deadline

This is to inform all students who are yet to pay their school fees that they should do so on or before Friday, November 10, 2017.

Any student who fails to comply with this directive and deadline will be considered to have voluntarily withdrawn from the University.

We therefore advise students who are yet tom pay their fees to take not of this information and comply accordingly.

FUOtuoke Matriculates 2,430 Students For 2016/2017 Academic Session

The Federal University, Otuoke, (FUO) Bayelsa State, on Saturday, matriculated a total number of 2,430 students for 2016/2017 academic session.

The VC Prof. Seth Jaja, who spoke on the 6th matriculation ceremony said the admissions were based on merits and in line with standards set by the Federal Ministry of Education, National Universities Commission (NUC), Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the institution’s Senate.

Jaja said the university only ran 12 academic programmes, which he said limited the number of prospective students offered admission into the institution.

He said the first challenge he faced when he assumed office on February 2016, was how to bridge this gap needed more in faculties like Engineering, Management Science and Education, which were hitherto not available.

He added that this challenge was overcome when the National Universities Commission, after due resource verification exercise, graciously approved 16 new additional programmes which increased the university’s carrying-capacity from 1,500 to 2000.

He noted that the approval helped to minimize the challenges of meeting the university’s social responsibility

Federal University Otuoke was established in 2011 by an Act of Parliament of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to encourage the advancement of learning. The University is located in Otuoke, Bayelsa State, Nigeria, and caters for both full-time and part-time students, with a population of over seventeen thousand (17,000) undergraduate and postgraduate students. The University has a staff strength of over two thousand (2,000).
