FUOTUOKE INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL VACANCIES FOR STAFF RECRUITMENT

Federal University Otuoke was established in 2011 by an Act of Parliament of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to encourage the advancement of learning. The University is located in Otuoke, Bayelsa State, Nigeria, and caters for both full-time and part-time students, with a population of over seventeen thousand (17,000) undergraduate and postgraduate students. The University has a staff strength of over two thousand (2,000).


 

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates willing to take up employment with the University in the following positions:

 

1. DIRECTOR OF HEALTH SERVICES

Qualifications and Experience

Prospective candidates must possess:

·         M.B.B.S., B.D.S., or equivalent medical degree

·         NYSC Discharge Certificate or Evidence of Exemption

·         SSCE/NECO/WASSC/GCE O’Level credit passes in five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics

·         Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent (mandatory)

·         A higher degree will be an added advantage

Candidates must:

·         Be duly registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria

·         Have a minimum of eight (8) years post-qualification experience in clinical medicine and public health in a comparable health institution

·         Be ICT compliant

·         Not be more than sixty (60) years of age on assumption of duty

Remuneration and Conditions of Service
As applicable to the post of Director of Health Services in Federal Universities in Nigeria and as determined from time to time by the Federal Government of Nigeria and the University Governing Council. Other requirements are as contained in the Federal University Otuoke Rules and Regulations Governing Conditions of Service of Senior Staff, 2023.

 

2. CHIEF LEGAL OFFICER

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess:

·         L.L.B and B.L

·         NYSC Discharge Certificate or Evidence of Exemption

·         SSCE/NECO/WASSC/GCE O’Level credit passes in five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics

·         A minimum of twelve (12) years post-call experience at the Nigerian Bar

Other requirements are as stipulated in the Federal University Otuoke Rules and Regulations Governing Conditions of Service of Senior Staff, 2023.

 

3. DEPUTY DIRECTOR, PUBLIC RELATIONS

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess:

·         A good Honours Degree from a recognised university in Mass Communication, English Studies, or other relevant Humanities or Social Sciences discipline

·         NYSC Discharge Certificate or Evidence of Exemption

·         SSCE/NECO/WASSC/GCE O’Level credit passes in five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics

·         A minimum of twelve (12) years cognate experience

·         Registered membership of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR)
