Update on Delay in Certificate Issuance by Northwest University, Kano

Northwest University, Kano is addressing public concerns and a viral video about delays in issuing certificates, especially for graduates from the Second Combined University Convocation.

Reason for the delay

• The delay was caused by errors found on some certificates, mainly issues with endorsement

• The certificates are printed in the United Kingdom, and the printing company has acknowledged the mistakes.

• Corrections, reprinting, and delivery of the remaining certificates are ongoing.

• The university has formally expressed dissatisfaction and requested a written explanation from the printing company.

The following certificates are ready for collection:

1. Undergraduate students – 2023/2024 session

2. Postgraduate students – 2022/2023 session

Collection details

• Start date: Monday, 22 December 2025

• Venue: Office of the Registrar

• Days: Mondays to Fridays

• Time: 10:00am – 4:00pm

Important advice to graduates

• Get information only from official university sources, not social media.

• Remaining certificates will arrive after corrections are completed.

• The university apologizes to affected graduates and assures them that all necessary steps are being taken to complete delivery promptly.
