The public is hereby informed that Imo State University, Owerri, will commence registration of candidates for the 2026/2027 POST-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise on Monday 25th May 2026.
ELIGIBILITY
- Candidates must have chosen Imo State University, Owerri, as first choice and scored a minimum of 150 in the UTME.
- Candidates who did not choose Imo State University as first choice university but scored the required cut-off mark may also apply on the condition that they visit the JAMB website and change their institution of first choice to Imo State University, Owerri before the close of the POST-UTME application period.

Direct Entry candidates must be holders of OND/NID/RN/First Degree, “A” Level or their equivalents in relevant disciplines and subjects.
- Candidates must ensure that their qualifying results are uploaded to JAMB.
- Candidates whose “O” Level results are being awaited are advised not to upload same to JAMB as soon as the results are released. Candidates that fail to upload their results to JAMB will not be considered for admission.
HOW TO APPLY
- Visit the University website at: https://www.imsu.edu.ng and click on 2026/2027 POST-UTME/Direct Entry Application.
- Enter correctly your JAMB Reg. Number to check for eligibility. If eligible, proceed to make payment.
- Enter correctly your JAMB Reg. Number. Only on the Invoice Number, make payment of N2,000.00 handling charges inclusive.
- Go back to imsu.edu.ng and click on 2026/2027 POST-UTME/Direct Entry Application again to complete the Application Form after successful payment and upload a 100 KB Microsoft Passport.
- Enter all records, confirm all the data you provided, re-check every one on the data you have entered.
APTITUDE TEST
The specific date and time for individual candidate’s screening examination will be communicated in due course.
Closing date for this exercise is Thursday 25th June 2026.
