WASSMAS Agriculture Grant: Empowering Agro-Startups in West Africa

The West African Support for Small and Mid-Scale Agro Startup (WASSMAS) is a non-governmental initiative dedicated to strengthening the agricultural sector across West Africa. The programme provides financial grants, technical support, and market access to small and mid-scale agribusinesses operating within the region.

WASSMAS targets key agricultural value chains, including livestock farming, crop cultivation, fish farming, agro-processing, integrated farming systems, and small ruminant production, with the aim of improving productivity, sustainability, and profitability.

Through the grant programme, beneficiaries are equipped with modern farming techniques, agribusiness management skills, sustainability practices, and digital agriculture tools. In addition, WASSMAS connects supported businesses to buyers, distributors, industry experts, and regional trade opportunities, helping them scale and compete effectively.
