PSC ANNOUNCES RECRUITMENT OF 50,000 POLICE CONSTABLES INTO THE NIGERIA POLICE FORCE

The Police Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), hereby announces the commencement of the recruitment of Fifty Thousand (50,000) Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force, in line with the directive of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

This recruitment exercise is aimed at strengthening community policing, enhancing internal security, and expanding the manpower capacity of the Nigeria Police Force.

QUALIFICATIONS

General Duty Cadre
Applicants must possess:

• GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE, NECO, or its equivalent
• A minimum of five (5) credits, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings

Specialist Cadre
Applicants must possess:

• GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE, NECO, or its equivalent
• A minimum of four (4) credits, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings
• A minimum of three (3) years’ professional experience in relevant fields
• Relevant Trade Test certificates

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must:

• Be Nigerian citizens by birth
• Be aged 18–25 years for General Duty applicants and 18–28 years for Specialist applicants
• Be medically, physically, and psychologically fit
• Have a minimum height of 1.67 metres (male) and 1.64 metres (female) (General Duty only)
• Meet any other requirements as may be specified on the recruitment portal
