Nine Corps Members Drown in Taraba During a Picnic. Sad News

Nine Serving Corpers have been reported dead in Taraba State. The Corps members  were said to have drowned in River Mayo-Selbe in the Gashaka LGA during a Picnic.

It was gathered that 22 NYSC members went on a Picnic at the said River. While they were swimming, there was a sudden rise in the volume of the water which swept them away. Out of the 22 members who were present at the time of the incidence, only the ones that were able to swim made it out alive, the nine other members drowned.

However, only 7 bodies have been allegedly retrieved from the River, while a search is still ongoing to retrieve the other bodies. Myschool
