Following the impasse between Trade Unions and Management of the Federal
Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, an additional one week has been added to the
earlier declared two weeks mid-semester break by the institution.
It would be recalled that the authorities of the Polytechnic following
the industrial face off by the three staff Unions, ASUP, SSANIP and
NASU, declared two weeks mid-semester break with effect from Wednesday,
12th October, 2016.
In a Circular dated 24th October, 2016, signed by the Institution’s
Registrar, Mrs. Sade Adediran disclosed that “Management has decided to
extend the mid-semester break of two (2) weeks by another one (1) week
with effect from Thursday, 27th October, 2016.”
While admonishing all full time students to await further announcement
on their resumption at the end of the mid-semester break, she further
advised all students, their Parents and Guardians to note the one week
extension in the hope that the industrial impasse would have been
resolved before making necessary travel arrangements back to the campus.
