I am the first child of my parents and
only child of my mum. I had my primary and secondary education in Lagos.
I studied Business Education at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun
State.
Acting
Acting was not something I really liked,
I just found myself doing it. I was already in the entertainment
industry long before I started acting, so I had an idea of what it was
about. Before I got into acting, I was a video vixen, and a dancer. I
was coming from school one day when I decided to go to Ashogbon which is actually a place actors go for rehearsals. When I got there, the rehearsal of a movie by Laide Bakare called Ijoya
was in progress. They found out I was a dancer, and I got a role in the
movie. That was how I became an actor. The journey has been amazing,
and it has opened a lot of doors for me. I’m just thankful to God for my
life, and for making me who I am today. Right now, I am happy that I am
an actor, because it is now a part of me.
Dance career
I miss being a video vixen, and I don’t
mind going back into it. It’s all about entertainment. It helped me a
lot; I was able to get some money from it which helped me in school. It
was really good, but I had to stop it because I did not want anything to
disturb my education. Back then, I featured in videos of artistes like
Artquake, Rasqie, and Olu Maintain. I also danced in Pasuma’s High Level video, and I was a back up dancer for Weird MC.
Movie production
I produced a movie called Single Ladies.
I am not where I want to be yet, but I know my next production will be
amazing. It is not easy being an actress and a producer at the same
time. When you love what you do, you don’t think about the stress.
Big break
I’ve acted in quite a number of movies, but some of them stood me out. Oogun Mi by Dayo Amusa and Ifedolapo were very popular.
Nudity
No I can’t act nude in a movie. I have
parents and other family members watching me. My family members won’t
like to see their daughter naked on TV.
Challenges
Nothing good comes easy. Every job has
challenges, but I thank God for always giving me the strength to
overcome any challenges. Not everyone in the industry wishes you well,
but you just need focus.
Role models
I look up to everyone in the industry
because we are one big happy family. We have a lot of good actors in the
industry. I don’t want to mention names.
Controversies
As celebrities, people always say things
about us, and there is nothing we can do about it. All these rumours or
controversies lead to an increase in our fan base. I’m human, and some
of these things get to me but there is nothing I can do about it.
Car theft
I pray to God to bless me more so I can
buy a bigger car. I never got my car back. People wrote that my car was
stolen at gunpoint, but that is not true. I was at home and my car was
parked at the gate. I didn’t see the car again the following day. It was
a Toyota Highlander.
Relationship
I’m currently in a relationship and the
lucky guy is somewhere chilling. I was never married. People call me to
ask me about the story of my marriage which is untrue. I was never
married, and I don’t know where the story came from. I believe in
marriage and I pray to God to give me the right man. I’m going to get
married someday.
Personality
I am different from who you see on TV. I
am in between being an introvert and an extrovert, but I am more of an
introvert. I love to make friends. I don’t like groupies, and I am a
very real person.
Style
I’m a simple dresser. I love wearing
sneakers; I don’t like high-heeled shoes. I love wearing jeans, shades,
tank tops, and bum shorts.
Leisure
I love to listen to music; I love to go
to nightclubs but not every day. I’ll rather hang out at a bar and have
fun. I also love to swim. (Punch)
